After semi-retiring
from construction in 2013, Mr. Daniels began focusing
his efforts on acting as a CONSTRUCTION FORENSIC
CONSULTANT/EXPERT WITNESS, regarding construction
defect cases in relationship to attach and detached single
family dwellings, custom homes, condominiums and town homes.
Mr. Daniels is experienced in assisting attorney firms and
insurance companies as an independent CONSULTANT/EXPERT
in the prosecution and/or defense in
construction litigation pertaining to construction defects.
Mr. Daniels is Certified as a International Residential Building Inspector with the ICC - International Code Council.
Mr. Daniels is diversified in the Washington State Energy
Code, IECC, UBC & UPC, and UMC. Mr. Daniels is
experienced in litigation support, construction defect
analyses, Uniform Building Code compliance and scope of
responsibility. Mr. Daniels has experience in building
inspections, building envelope issues, building failure
analysis, defect and destructive testing procedures, repair
protocols, cost of repair/re-construction, photography and the
development of digital computerized programs in relation to
photography, expert report of findings, mediation and
deposition testimony.
Mr. Daniels extensive experience in the construction
industry has given him an intricate knowledge of building
methodologies, materials and building codes, enabling him
to interpret and analyze a finished project as to whether a
structure has been properly constructed. Mr. Daniels
investigates and gives opinions regarding but not limited
to IRC building code compliance issues, Roofing,
Footings & Foundations, IECC-Building Envelope codes,
UPC-Plumbing codes, UMC-Mechanical codes,
as well as Architectural and Structural issues.
With an intricate outline, Mr. Daniels provides costs analysis
and estimating as needed per case. Mr. Daniels assembles and
directs the expert team for all invasive or destructive testing
procedures and performs duties as the lead expert for most
cases.
